6 of the best easy and fun Easter Activities for kids!
On a scale of 1-10 how creepy is the Easter bunny? We took Rea when she was 1, but I don’t think we have ever taken D. Like, Santa visits are a 5-7 on the creep factor, but a giant freaking bunny, that’s a solid 12.
Anywho, I love quick and easy activities, and this Easter, We are doing ALL. THE. EASTER. ACTIVITIES.
And because I love holiday crafts so much, I made an entire list of Easter activities that are perfect for just about any situation, whether you are trying to keep your preschooler busy and engaged at home or just want something easy and fun to make an Easter memory with.
These Easter egg activities will have your whole crew giggling, ensuring tons of fun and learning is happening all at the same time!
Side note: I don’t know if you have this going on in your house, but crafts and toddlers don’t always go together. So if your kiddo doesn’t like activities or crafts, here's a little pro tip: Swap the name activity or crafts and call them games instead!
Cue all the Easter egg activities! Here are my top 5 favorites!
Visual Discrimination with Easter Egg matching
What this means is that your kiddo is looking at a template of images versus signs and symbols. When they are looking at a bunch of signs and symbols they don’t understand. Like the alphabet or numbers, this is a great way to build their skills while they improve their visual discrimination skills. It helps them understand the difference when they do get to letters and numbers.
What you need:
- 6-space egg crate. And add plastic, colored eggs.
- Print out the template from my Easter activity set and have your kiddo match the plastic eggs with the picture on the template.

- Have your kiddo open the eggs and match the letters with the letters on the piece of paper.

Easter Egg Lantern:
This one is a little more complicated than the others, but I have faith in you!
What you need:
- Pick a colored piece of construction paper and fold hamburger style.
- Make some cuts from the folded edge and make sure to not cut all the way through.
- Unfold your paper and then make circles with the uncut ends. Staple it together and you will see the shape of the lantern.
- Have your kiddo decorate the lantern with their favorite stickers or colors.
- Hang the lantern with a piece of yarn or string.

-Draw a center circle and flower petals around it to create a flower.
-Have your kiddo draw the same flower a little bigger and keep going until there is no more room on the paper.
