52 Family Movie Nights

52 Family Movie Nights

Family movie night is a big deal in our house. On Friday’s we pick a movie and spend the night together watching a movie as a family. We dim the lights, pop popcorn, and make a fun treat. As a mom, my hope is that we set this tradition now and it continues to be something the kids look forward to into their teen years. A mom can dream, right?

The perfect movie night includes the following:

  • Popcorn – I make it fresh with a popcorn machine and then I add way too much butter (it is just so good) and salt. I also like the white cheddar sprinkle seasoning. You can find my popcorn maker and the ingredients I use in my Amazon Shop.
  • Treats- Most weeks we make dessert together, but sometimes we simply visit the candy aisle at Target. (Redvines are seriously the best)
  • A good family-friendly movie

Finding a good family movie can be challenging so I came up with a list of movies for an entire year’s worth of movie night ideas. At the bottom of the post you can find a link to a PDF version of this so that you can print it and stick it on the fridge.
