My daughter Reagan is currently having trouble with this skill, but it’s something that our Lil’s needs to be well practiced in before going into kindergarten. If the teacher has to constantly reinforce this skill, it creates a tension point between teacher and child and disrupts the learning process. Not to mention it is just a good skill to have for everyday interactions!

Talk with your Lil’ about specific instances in their life when this social story applies.

For instance, we have been explaining to Rea that when Mommy and Daddy are talking during dinner, she has to wait until we stop talking and then it’s her turn to talk.
