This month is all about the Winter Games and you cannot do winter games without some games!

So today we are going to work on some gross motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Games are also an excellent way to teach your Lil’ about rules and following directions.

Paper Towel Roll

*Paper Plate

*Washable Paint (Optional)

*Paint Brushes (Optional)

*Hot Glue Gun

*Scissors

Step #1
Fold 5 paper plates in half and cut out an inner circle in the plate.
Step #2
Paint the plates blue, black, red, green, and yellow.
This optional. It will require you to wait for the plates to dry, but it also allows you to work on colors during play.
Step #3
While the paint dries, use a hot glue gun to glue a paper towel roll to the center of a paper plate. This will be the base.
Step #4
Place the base on the floor and toss.
Step #5
Step back and toss the rings on to the base, trying to get the rings to land with the base going through the center.

Teacher Tip

As you can tell, Rea had trouble with this one even at a short distance, but if your Lil’ is nailing them, you can increase the difficulty by continuously having your Lil’ take steps backwards to increase the distance.
