The Winter Olympics are starting February 9th in South Korea, but we will be celebrating all month long!

Like true Olympians, we will start the celebrations off with the Olympic Torch.

Engage your Lil’s creative and design skills by teaching them about the Olympics and the torch as you create this craft.

Required Materials

Paper Towel Roll

*Tissue Paper

*Cupcake Liner

*Foil

*Glue

*Scissors

Step #1
Cut a piece of foil long enough to wrap around the paper towel roll.
Step #2
Glue the foil around the paper towel roll.
Step #3
Glue a cupcake liner to the top of the paper towel roll with the flat bottom touching the top of the paper towel roll.
Step #4
Glue tissue paper sticking out of the cupcake liner.

You may need to trim your tissue paper.

Teacher Tip

You can add a bit of movement to this activity by doing a relay in the backyard once the torch has dried, just like the olympians!
