*Foil

*Pipe cleaners

*Glue

*Scissors

Step #1
Print and cut out the Number Curling Template.
Step #2
Cut the pipe cleaner into thirds.
Step #3
Form a ball with the foil and stick a piece of pipecleaner in the center to serve as a stem for the ball (curling stone).
Repeat this until you have 3 curling stones.
Step #4
Glue the small number circles to the top of each curling stone.
Step #5
Lay the three curling targets on a table or floor and invite your Lil’ to push their curling stones down to the corresponding targets.

For example, you want the 0 curling stone to go to the 0 curling target.

Teacher Tip

Encourage your Lil’ to verbalize what they are doing. Putting words to their actions will deepen their understanding. It is okay if they verbalize it after the fact as many of our Lil’s will be too focused on the activity to talk during their play.
