Name activities are so important for our preschoolers. Many kids grow interested in letters by first learning the letters of their name. Then their confidence continues to build as they learn to not only recognize their name, but to read their name as well. Our Name Sort activity will have our preschoolers identifying their name as well as the names of the names of the members of their family.

This preschool activity will help your preschooler learn to read and identify their name.

Teacher Tip

I have purposely added the pictures to the nametags so that our kiddos can use the pictures to help them sort and match. This will help them as they sort and they will begin to see the patterns in the letters as well as in the pictures. Also, just in case you’re not feeling like sorting family names, I have included a page with Goldilocks and the Three Bears names.
