With this preschool activity we are counting muffins. Well, to be more precise, we will be counting the blueberries in a muffin. While I can’t remember exactly if the story tells us what Little Red took to grandma in her basket, I like to believe she took grandma muffins. And blueberry muffins are my favorite, so blueberry muffins it is.

With his preschool activity, your child will identify a written number and add the corresponding value.

Step #1
Print and cut out the Counting Muffins template.
Step #2
Place a Number over the circle where it says how many blueberries.
Step #3
Identify the number and add the corresponding number of blueberries to the muffin.

Teacher Tip

For your blueberries, you can use a variety of materials. We used pom-poms but you could also use hole punch dots or beads.
