Today we are going to create a cute little mouse while we learn about the letter M. I would typically never call a mouse cute, not even the little guy in Ratatouille, but I will make an exception for mice that are made my Lils and teach Lils about letters! The capital letter M will serve as our base for our mouse and we will stimulate your Lil’s creative side as they design their very own mousey friend.  

As a friendly reminder, if you are following our June calendar our Lil’ Creators are doing this activity on June 5th and Lil’ Explorers are doing it on June 13th.

M is for Mouse Template

White Paper

Glue

Construction Paper - pink, brown, & black

Markers

Googley Eyes

Step #1

Print the letter M template on brown or grey construction paper

Step #2

Cut out the letter M and glue it on a sheet of white paper

Step #3

Cut out three small pink circles and glue one pink circle in each peak of the M

Step #4

Cut 6 thin strips about 2 inches long from the black construction paper

Glue 3 black strips on each side of the center point on the M to create whiskers

Step #5

Glue your third pink circle on the center of the black whiskers

Step #6

Glue the googley eyes slightly above the nose

Step #7

Label the paper for your child, M is for Mouse
