When we are studying the human body, our L alphabet craft is all about the lungs. This week we will be turning our L into a set of lungs because L is for lungs.
With this letter L activity, your preschooler work on identifying and writing the letter L as well as learning the sound it makes.
Lil’ Creators Focus Skills
- Can identify all capital letters and most sounds (L)
- Can form all capital letters and some lowercase letters (L)
Print and cut out the L is for Lungs Template.
Color in the L and the lungs.
Glue the L over the lungs so that the vertical line lays on top of the sternum and the horizontal line goes into the right lung.
Trace over the L’s on the label L is for Lungs.
Focus on teaching your preschooler about their lungs and where the lungs are in their body by having them touch their chest, take a deep breath in and then release the deep breath out. Encourage them to feel their chest rising up and down and to feel their lungs fill with air.
