Eric Carle has a wonderful book called, Have You Seen My Cat? It is a simple book about a boy who is looking for his cat and instead, he finds all the various types of cats in the wild. And of course, a lion is found as it is the king of the feline family.
We have used this lion as our inspiration for our L craft this month.
This activity will work on the letter L and the sound it makes as well as cutting and gluing skills.

Teacher Tip

Transition the workload to your Lil’ to make the activities more challenging and independent. Share the task of cutting by having your Lil’ cut the L while you cut the lion. This serves as cutting practice, letter formation, recognition practice, and increases independence.
