Our “H” alphabet craft is a fun way to learn about the letter H and to practice some cutting skills. H is for hair, so we will be cutting some yarn as hair for our letter H.

Practicing cutting materials other than paper is beneficial for our preschoolers. Often times in the real world, we are not simply cutting paper, we’re cutting other materials, so having these real-world experiences to cut various types of materials benefits our children. It also adds a little extra excitement and engagement because it’s different.  Difference can be very simple, but it is often very exciting to our preschoolers as different means new and exploration.

This preschool letter activity will focus on identifying and writing the letter H, learning the sound the letter H mix, and practicing cutting skills.
