Finger puppets are one of those things Rea didn’t know she needed in her life until she learned they existed. But in reality, they are a great tool for your preschooler to use in dramatic play.
We used these as we sang Old McDonald, which is Rea and D’s new favorite song thanks to a friend of mine who sang it to her the other day.
This preschool activity is perfect for encouraging your preschooler to engage in dramatic play or to use while singing songs like Old McDondald and The Farmer in the Dell.

Lil’ Explorers Focus Skills

Print and cut out the Farm Animal Finger Puppets.
I included 2 sets on one sheet because I know many of you do these activities with more than one child.
Apply glue to the left side of the finger puppet, on the colored side of the paper.
Wrap the finger puppet around your Lil’s finger bringing the right side around to the left so that they overlap, like you would put on a Band-Aid.
Trim any excess paper.
Repeat this process for all four finger puppets.
Encourage your Lil’ to play with the finger puppets. Use them to sing songs such as old MacDonald or using them as props in drammatic farm play.
