Ya’ll, we love the farm! In fact this morning when we drove past it to get to the park, Rea told me that she wishes we lived on a farm.
With today’s activity, I encourage you to take your Lil’s out on a field trip to your local farm (if you don’t have a local farm try your local pumpkin patch). On our field trip, we are going to go on a simple scavenger hunt meaning that while we are exploring a new place we will do so with purpose looking for specific items.

Fall on the Farm Scavenger Hunt Template

Step #1
Print out your Fall on the Farm Scavenger Hunt template
Step #2
Take your scavenger hunt list and a pen to the local farm or pumpkin patch.
Step #3
Explore your farm or pumpkin patch and search for the different items on the scavenger hunt list.
  • It is OK if your farmer pumpkin patch does not have all of the items on the list (ours certainly did not).
Step #4

Enjoy moving around the farm or pumpkin patch with your Lil’ and talk with them about the different things that you find.

Teacher Tip

We glued our scavenger hunt list to a paper bag so that when Rea found items like leaves and acorns she could collect them easily. Trust me your Lil’ is going to want to collect the leaves and acorns they find, however the step is completely optional.
