Reading

Gross Motor Skills

  • Use locomotor skills with balance in a variety of directions and changing directions during active play
  • Use locomotor skills with coordination in a variety of directions and changing directions during active play
  • Engage in non-locomotor body movements with balance, coordination, and control (twist and bend)

Step #1
Print and cut out the Eric Carle Sight Word Template.
Step #2
Tape the sight words around the house.
Step #3
Invite your Lil’ to find all the sight words you have hidden.
Step #4
Each time they find a word, ask them to read the word.

If they are not read to read the word on their own, read it to them and encourage them to repeat it.
