Y’all, Rea really enjoyed this preschool letter activity. It’s fairly low prep and a fun way to work on letter identification. Plus, it is also a great way to start working on capital and lowercase letter recognition and matching.

Step #1

Print and cut out the Dinosaur Letter Matching Template.

Lil’ Creators – You do not need to print every page, I put options in there to meet your specific needs.
-Letter options: Uppercase and Lowercase letter boxes or Lowercase letter boxes only
-Dinosaur options: 26 letters on one dinosaur, 13 letters on 2 dinosaurs
Step #2
Place a letter card in the box on your dinosaur template.
Step #3
Use a pom-pom to cover up the ladder on the dinosaur that matches the letter in the box.
Step #4
Repeat this process until you have covered all of the letters on the dinosaur.

Teacher Tip

You can use pens, markers or even watercolors to cover up the letters on the dinosaur. You could also use letter magnets to avoid having to cut all of the letterboxes.
