Ya’ll, movement is so important for the body and the mind, so today’s activity will be a movement based activity that engages the mind.
Too often when we are working with letters it is table work. Today is an opportunity to forget about table work and start thinking about body work while still learning our letters and sight words!
Our dinosaurs are hopping on letters, sight words, and their name.

Step #1
Print and cut out your dinosaur hop template. Write your Lil’s name on the blank dinosaur foot.
Step #2
Lay the dinosaur tracks on the floor.
Step #3
Walk around the room with your Lil’ and identify each of the letters or words.
Step #4
Now that your Lil’ knows where each word or letter is, randomly call out a letter or sight word and ask your Lil’ to hop to the letter or sight word that you said.
Continue doing this until you’ve called out all the letters and words or until your Lil’ loses interest.

Teacher Tip

We chose to laminate our dinosaur tracks and tape them to the floor for durability however this is a totally optional step.
