Our Dinosaur Tracks Matching activity is one of those gems of an activity that works on so many different skills and is super simple prep work for you.
Matching is typically a skill that would be categorized under the math department as part of identifying patterns, but I would argue that matching is also a skill that will improve reading comprehension, science, and engineering because it requires you to look at the different pieces with an attention for details.

Step #1
Print and cut out your copy of the matching dinosaur tracks template.
Your Lil’ Creator should be able to cut this template themselves. (If they grow frustrated because it is too challenging, have them cut one page and you cut the other 2 pages).
Step #2
Place all of the dinosaur cards on the left and all of the track cards on the right.
Step #3

Invite your little to match the dinosaur to their correct track.

Teacher Tip

If this is overwhelming or too hard at first, reduce the number of cards they’re matching by half. If it’s too easy, make it a little more challenging by mixing up the dinosaur and track cards instead of keeping them separated.
