This preschool numbers activity worked on following directions, reading, and identifying numbers and their values.

I have been wanting to do some sort of Build It Blueprint activity with you for a little while now. So when I created our galaxy prints with watercolors, I knew they would be the perfect backdrop for a galaxy activity. I combined that idea with the idea of creating Build It Blueprints and I am so happy with the results. We are also using the prints we made during our Galaxy Painting activity as the backdrops for our galaxies.

Step #1

Print and cut out the Build A Galaxy Template.

Step #2

Lay out the supplies or “ingredients.” I like to keep them in one of those party platter trays to keep everything neat and organized.

Step #3

Read and follow each recipe by placing the necessary ingredients on one of your galaxy prints.

Step #4

Continue this until you have made all of the galaxies.

Teacher Tip

If you do not have the galaxy prints, you can use a piece of black construction paper instead number activity.
