So often I  hear people say they are bad at math and more often than not, it is because they see math as an abstract concept rather than a concrete one.
We work a lot on recognizing numbers and their value because this shows our Lil’s that numbers and math are CONCRETE concepts.
In this activity, we will work on matching our values to their numeric symbol.

Step #1
Print and cut out the Brown Bear, Brown Bear Number Matching Template.
Step #2
Count the animals on the card and match it to the corresponding number symbol.
Step #3
Repeat this process until you have counted and matched all of the cards.

Teacher Tip

If your Lil’ wants to try, the numbers are written in a tracing font so they can practice writing their numbers too.
