When it was time to do this activity, all I could think of was the cute little video of a toddler getting an avocado for Christmas. If you haven’t seen it check it out HERE. You will definitely chuckle.

But seriously, as a California girl, I am obsessed with avocado and I was inspired by my deep love for avocado to create this activity.

*Construction Paper


*White Paper



Step #1
Print and cut out the A is for Avocado Template.
We printed the large A (page 1) on black or dark green paper.
We printed the small A (page 2) on light green paper.
We printed the avocado pit on brown paper.
Step #2
Glue the large A on the white paper.
Step #3
Glue the small A on the large A so that they overlap.
Step #4
Glue the pit over the triangle in the center of the A.
Step #5
Label the paper A is for Avocado.

Teacher Tip

Your Lil’ likely isn’t ready to do the cutting on their own, but they can cut scraps while you cut out the template. This will keep them busy and have them practicing a valuable skill.
