Y’all, we love any activity that involves movement! Preschoolers are just so active and we should be encouraging them as much as possible. So when we can combine learning and movement, it’s a huge win. I’m so excited to share this activity with you because I know your Lil’s going to be all over this activity and they won’t even realize that they are working on counting. 

This preschool learning activity will work on counting and you can choose if you want to do counting forward or counting backwards.

Required Materials

3, 2, 1 Counting Rockets

*Construction Paper

*Markers

*Stomp Rocket

Step #1
Print the 3, 2, 1 Counting Rocket Template.

We printed ours on yellow construction paper.

Step #2
Write the numbers on the stars.

  • Explores: 1-3
  • Creators: 1-5
Step #3
Place the stars down on the ground in order and place the stomp rocket at the end.
Step #4
Have your Lil’ jump from star to star saying the numbers and then jump onto stomp rocket to launch the rocket into the air.

Teacher Tip

I have also included a rocket printable in case you chose not to get the stomp rocket, you can instead jump on the rocket printable.
